🍷 Bream Creek Chardonnay – East Coast Tasmania 2024
Producer: Bream Creek Vineyard
Region: East Coast, Tasmania
Variety: Chardonnay
Vintage: 2024
Appearance
Bright pale straw with light lemon hues, clear and vibrant in the glass. The colour reflects the cool maritime conditions of Tasmania’s east coast, which encourage slow ripening and refined structure.
Aroma (Nose)
Elegant and lifted aromas of white peach, nectarine and citrus blossom lead the bouquet. These are complemented by notes of lemon zest, green apple and subtle melon, with gentle hints of toasted almond, cashew and light vanilla spice from carefully integrated oak.
Palate
Fresh and finely balanced with flavours of stone fruit, lemon curd and ripe citrus flowing across the palate. Layers of white peach, grapefruit and subtle creaminess provide depth, while delicate oak influence adds texture and complexity without overwhelming the fruit.
Structure
The wine shows excellent structure typical of premium Tasmanian Chardonnay. Bright natural acidity provides freshness and precision, while a silky mid-palate texture creates balance and elegance.
Finish
Long and refined with lingering citrus, stone fruit and gentle nutty complexity, finishing clean, crisp and mineral-tinged.
Overall Style
A classic cool-climate Tasmanian Chardonnay—fresh, elegant and finely structured—showcasing vibrant fruit purity, subtle oak integration and the maritime character of the Bream Creek vineyard.
Food Pairing
Pairs beautifully with grilled seafood, roast chicken, creamy pasta dishes, scallops and soft cheeses.
