🍷 Appearance
Deep crimson-purple with excellent colour density, reflecting the richness and concentration typical of Barossa Valley Shiraz.
👃 Aromas (Nose)
Lifted aromas of plum, blackberry and dark cherry, complemented by notes of vanilla oak, baking spice and subtle florals. Hints of liquorice and cocoa add complexity.
👅 Palate
Rich and expressive with flavours of dark berries, plum and black cherry, supported by layers of dark chocolate, anise and gentle spice. The fruit profile is generous but balanced rather than overly jammy.
⚖️ Structure & Balance
Full-bodied with fine, structured tannins and balanced acidity, providing depth while maintaining smooth drinkability. Fruit is sourced from Elderton’s Greenock, Nuriootpa and Craneford vineyards, contributing richness, structure and freshness.
✨ Finish
Long and persistent with lingering dark fruit, spice and mocha, finishing smooth with a polished tannin structure.
🍇 Overall Style
A classic Barossa Shiraz combining rich black-fruit intensity with savoury spice and fine tannins. The 2021 vintage shows both power and structure and can drink well now or cellar to around 2030+.
