🍷 Appearance
Deep ruby to purple with an opaque core and vibrant youthful hues. Richly coloured and concentrated in the glass, showing classic Malbec intensity.

👃 Aromas
Expressive and savoury, with blackberry, dark plum and blueberry complemented by raw cocoa, cured meats and sweet spice. Hardy Mediterranean herbs add an attractive earthy complexity.

👅 Palate
Medium-bodied yet generously flavoured, with dark plum, blackberry and blueberry at the core. Savoury meatiness, cocoa and dried herbs provide complexity, while fresh acidity gives the wine energy and balance.

🍈 Texture & Finish
Juicy and concentrated with fine, gravelly tannins building through the palate. The finish is chewy, savoury and persistent, with lingering black fruit, herbs and earthy characters.

🍇 Overall Style
A distinctive McLaren Vale Malbec that favours freshness and savoury complexity over simple fruit sweetness. Mostly destemmed with 10% whole bunches and matured for 10 months in older oak, it is structured, characterful and particularly food-friendly.

🍽️ Food Pairing
Excellent with grilled steak, slow-cooked beef, lamb cutlets, chargrilled sausages, mushroom dishes or mature cheeses. Its savoury character and firm tannins make it particularly well suited to hearty food.

⭐ BBD Verdict
A character-filled Malbec with concentrated blackberry and plum, savoury herbs, cocoa and earthy complexity. Fresh acidity and firm, fine tannins provide excellent balance and length. A distinctive, extremely satisfying McLaren Vale red with plenty of personality.
