65% of this vintage was fermented in neutral French oak to add complexity and weight. Marlborough offers such incredible fruit flavour, this oak fermentation helps to just ease some these forward characters. The wine still delivers the quintessential characteristics of a Marlborough to meet expectations but as a smoother wine, it’s incredibly food friendly.
