There are those that argue Orange is where Shiraz ultimately finds its own balance in Australia. Our cool climate Shiraz has hints of white pepper and spicy fruit flavours which pair perfectly with lamb and other slow cooked meat dishes.

Viticulture |Â 20 year old vines. 100% certified organic estate grown fruit from Annangrove Park at 700 metres above sea level. 20 hectares North East slightly sloping vineyard. Clones: 1654, CL10, CL12, PT23. VSP trellising. Two bud spurs. 6-8 tonnes per hectare. Vineyard floor has a permanent, continuous sward (grasses, flowers, clovers) to encourage ladybirds & other insects to help maintain the biodiversity across the entire variety
Vinification | Hand and machine harvested in the early hours of a March morning and finished by 11am. De-stemmed on open rollers with 10% whole bunch added after de-stemming. Selected and ambient yeasts. Rotary fermentation. 9 months maturation in stainless steel with American oak staves to undergo 100% malolactic fermentation prior to bottling in December 2018.

Palate | Medium bodied with savoury notes and a long finish. Well balanced with smooth tannins that will lengthen over time.
