Rich golden straw with brilliant clarity and warm amber highlights. Luscious and inviting in the glass, immediately suggesting concentration and sweetness.
👃 Aromas
Elegant and intensely aromatic, with ripe pineapple, apricot and peach layered with orange marmalade, honey and classic botrytis characters. Subtle cinnamon and nutty vanillin notes add complexity.
👅 Palate
Rich and luscious, delivering concentrated flavours of apricot, peach, honey and citrus. The generous botrytis sweetness is beautifully balanced by refreshing acidity, keeping the palate vibrant rather than heavy.
🍈 Texture & Finish
Silky, smooth and mouth-filling, with excellent richness and concentration. A fine line of acidity provides freshness and balance, leading to a long, lingering finish of honeyed citrus, apricot and marmalade.
🍇 Overall Style
A classic Riverina Botrytis Semillon—rich, decadent and beautifully balanced. Calabria has been producing this style from specially selected botrytis-affected fruit since 1995, showcasing why the Riverina has such a strong reputation for premium Australian dessert wines.
🍽️ Food Pairing
Perfect with caramelised pear and mascarpone, crème brûlée, fruit tarts or vanilla ice cream. Equally impressive alongside blue-vein cheese, dried fruits and nuts, where the wine’s sweetness and acidity provide a superb contrast.
⭐ BBD Verdict
A beautifully luscious dessert wine packed with apricot, pineapple, honey and marmalade flavours. Rich and indulgent yet wonderfully fresh, with the acidity providing excellent balance to the botrytis sweetness. A superb way to finish a meal and a standout example of Riverina Botrytis Semillon.
