Established in 1858, Craigmoor, the oldest cellar door in Mudgee stands as an enduring
milestone, reflecting the rich social history and wine heritage of the region.
Our winemaking & viticulture team work hand in hand to nurture and cultivate our Mudgee
vineyards, showcasing the best that the region has to offer.
Mudgee’s original Chardonnay vines are regarded to be the source for much of Australia’s
Chardonnay plantings from the 1960s. In fact, Craigmoor’s then winemaker, Pieter Van Gent,
released the first Aussie Chardonnay in 1972. The variety achieved rockstar status in the
1980s.
