🍷 Appearance
Deep dark red with crimson edges and a rich ruby hue. Still showing excellent depth and vibrancy, reflecting the concentration of old-vine Clare Valley Grenache.

👃 Aromas
Generous and expressive, with dark raspberry, ripe cherry and berry fruits layered with liquorice, dried florals and peppery spice. Subtle notes of vanilla, incense and savoury complexity add further interest.

👅 Palate
Medium to full-bodied with juicy dark raspberry, cherry and plum flavours supported by liquorice, dark chocolate and gentle spice. The fruit remains rich and concentrated without becoming overly heavy, retaining attractive freshness and balance.

🍈 Texture & Finish
Plush and silky with smooth, beautifully integrated tannins. A subtle savoury character and touch of salinity complement the ripe fruit, leading to a long, succulent finish with lingering raspberry, cherry, liquorice and white pepper.

🍇 Overall Style
A rich yet elegant Clare Valley Grenache sourced from 60-year-old, dry-grown vines in Watervale. The combination of old-vine concentration, generous fruit and supple tannins delivers a beautifully approachable expression of the variety. The wine carries 14.5% alcohol.

Perfect with roast lamb, duck, pork belly, barbecued meats, Mediterranean-style dishes, slow-cooked beef and mature cheeses.

A beautifully mature Clare Valley Grenache with impressive fruit concentration and a silky, generous palate. Dark raspberry, cherry, liquorice and spice combine with smooth tannins and excellent length. The 2016 also received a Gold Medal at Mundus Vini, reinforcing the quality of this impressive old-vine Grenache.
