The Mirabeau story is one of following a dream and the pursuit of a deeply held passion for wine. In 2009, after 10 years of talking about it, we decided to swap our lives in South London for a new beginning as wine producers in the South of France. Armed with big ambitions to make a world-class rose wine and willing to challenge established, wisdom, we founded Mirabeau. Since then Mirabeau has collected some of the most prestigious wine industry awards and we’re delighted that people enjoy our wines all over the world. Provence is famous for making the best rose wines in the world, and they have notched up some pretty good experience having made it since 600BC. Mirabeau’s main focus is on making delicious, dry pink wines that will be a perfect partner to a huge variety of food and almost any occasion.
Our new Sparkling wine “La Folie” hails from Peter Mayle country (A year in Provence) in the Luberon. Made in the Prosecco or “Charmat Method” this is a totally captivating and delicious rosé. A gorgeous ballet-pink colour with a delicate effervescent sparkle, the nose offers up a fresh, soft scent of strawberry and raspberry with hints of gooseberry and blackcurrant. The mousse is mouth filling and elegant with hints of red berry, grapefruit with a little spice and a lovely long finish. Delicious and refreshing, La Folie is perfect as an aperitif but also with a wide variety of Mediterranean cuisine.
