🍷 Appearance
Pale straw with brilliant green hues. Pristine and youthful in the glass, displaying the brightness and purity expected from premium cool-climate Tasmanian Riesling.
👃 Aromas
Intensely aromatic and beautifully defined, with grapefruit, green apple and fresh citrus complemented by jasmine florals, subtle ginger and intriguing mineral notes. The bouquet has wonderful purity, freshness and complexity.
👅 Palate
Powerful, dry and tightly focused, delivering vibrant grapefruit and crisp green apple with impressive citrus intensity. There is an energetic core of juicy fruit balanced by racy acidity, giving the wine remarkable precision, brightness and drive.
🍈 Texture & Finish
Fine and beautifully structured with an attractive pithy character and delicate talc-like texture. The acidity is taut and refreshing, carrying the concentrated fruit through to an exceptionally long, pure and persistent finish.
🍇 Overall Style
An exceptional old-vine Tasmanian Riesling produced solely from Bream Creek’s historic Riesling block planted in 1974, one of Tasmania’s oldest commercial Riesling plantings. Made only in special vintages, the 2025 Reserve is a powerful yet precise expression of these remarkable old vines and was awarded 96 points by both Mike Bennie and Gary Walsh of The Wine Front.

Perfect with freshly shucked oysters, Tasmanian scallops, grilled flathead, sashimi or spicy Thai and Indian dishes. Its intense citrus fruit and racy acidity make it particularly impressive with fresh seafood and dishes featuring chilli, ginger, lime and aromatic herbs.
⭐ BBD Verdict
A seriously impressive Tasmanian Riesling with tremendous purity, power and precision. Grapefruit, green apple, jasmine and subtle ginger combine with a beautifully fine, pithy texture and electric acidity. The old-vine concentration is evident, yet the wine remains wonderfully elegant and refreshing. Outstanding now, with excellent potential to develop further complexity with careful cellaring.
