A cuveé composed from 2 carefully tended old Grenache vineyards in Watervale, aged 77 and 71 years respectively. Only from the best vintages do we create our Duke Reserve Grenache. The 2013 vintage again gave us that opportunity. Being a shade warmer than the previous standout 2012 season, we picked both vineyards just a little earlier to ensure we achieved the perfect balance of flavour, acid and tannin needed in our signature Reserve Grenache. Having both vineyards managed with minimal chemical intervention, hand pruning and hand harvesting is a vital part of the natural calender of operations.
